The Iceman Cometh!
Covenant Coffee is proud to introduce our "International Coffee Engineer" or ICE as we call him in the office, Isaac Dennis. Isaac is not only the "ICE"man but our Roast Master. Isaac is in charge of producing the best freshly roasted coffee possible using creative blends and invaluable experience. Isaac selects the green coffee for roasting, roasts coffee beans based upon country of origin, taste and profile, and then oversees the packaging and delivery of the freshly roasted coffee beans. Isaac comes to us from North Carolina where he learned the art of coffee roasting at a local roastery! Our Roaster, the Iceman ... form North Carolina to Bakersfield!
Article about Isaac Dennis in the Bakersfield Californian newspaper - "ISAAC DENNIS has joined Covenant Community Services as its International Coffee Coordinator. Dennis comes to Covenant from Charlotte, N.C., where he apprenticed in coffee roasting. He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in biology with a sociology minor. He has worked with troubled youth in groups and youth camps and spent time with orphans in Africa. Dennis is to lead Covenant’s coffee ministry, teaching youths and young adults the coffee business."

Covenant Coffee's second employee is Kenny Pearson. Kenny is a former foster youth that participates in the THP-Plus Program of Covenant. Kenny is learning the coffee roasting trade under Isaac's care and coaching. Kenny helps with the roasting of green coffee, the packaging of freshly roasted coffee beans and delivery of coffee beans. We are excited to witness Kenny thrive as he grows, serves, explores and learns. We are proud of you Kenny!
